Pink Tuna Cans

Pink Tuna Cans combines sections of brightly-coloured prints and solids with large areas of black. The large black areas are machine-quilted in vertical and horizontal lines. The improv-pieced coloured areas have been hand-quilted in a circle pattern, using a thick pink thread. The name of this quilt was taken from the hand-quilting pattern used. The irregular border shape (bottom left corner) mimics the shapes used in the quilt design.

Machine and hand-bound. Thrifted and found cotton, denim and silk scraps.
