Winnipeg Diamonds Quilt

Not many of my friends have had babies in the last year, but the ones that have are some of my most-special. Inspired by Grandma’s Gardens and Diamond Fields quilt patterns, I created this hexagon baby blanket/play mat for a close friend’s new arrival. I wanted to make something to be cherished, but also used, modern and gender neutral, but a recognizable classic.

English paper pieced quilt top (by hand) with improv machine-pieced backside. Machine and hand-bound.
